Pixie hooded scarf scoodie thing!

For all the pixies outside there who love the winter but don't really like the feeling of cold freezing pointy ears, this is THE pattern for you!

Attach some bells at the end, and you will always think santa is behind you! Or just for fun, or just leave the bell if you hate the annoying sound.

Or knit it some longer to make pockets to keep your hands warm! Or knit the ends together for a circular scarf with a hood! You could even leave the pixiethingpoint away for just a biiiiiiig scoodie!
Or attach some buttons to make it more like a ponchothing!
So much choices!

I've knitted this one with a 12 mm needle (i think you could you a smaller one or some bigger one?), and two strands of yarn so its quite quick! (i've used 4 big balls of yarn for this thing) so if the weatherman tells you it will snow in a couple of days there's no problem for you!

PATTERN TIME!

Cast on 30
You're going to make a stockinette stitch (knit one row and purl it back and so on). This will take some time so put on the television or some music. Just st st till you think one side of the scarf is long enough.

The fun pixiehood part!
Make sure you are on the knitting side of your work, and before knitting make 4 extra stitches (just like you casted the stitches on! you will have 34 stitches) knit the rest of the row
Purl all the stitches
now make 6 extra stitches (40) knit the rest of your stitches
Purl all the stiches
make 4 extra stitches (44) knit
Purl all the stitches
make 4 more (48) knit
Purl all the stitches
make 4 more (52)
Purl all the stiches
make 8 more stitches and knit the rest (60)
Purl all the stitches
Make 2 more stitches and knit the rest of the row (62)
Purl all the stitches

Now the increase part! (with the cast of method http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kIhhAM5MFbQ&feature=related)
Cast off the first 2 stitches and knit the rest (60)
Purl all the stitches
Cast off the first 8 stitches and knit the rest  (52)
Purl all the stitches
Cast off the first 4 stitches and knit the rest (48)
Purl all the stitches
Cast off the first 4 stitches and knit the rest (44)
Purl all the stitches
Cast off the first 4 and knit the rest (40)
Purl all the stitches
Cast off the first 6 and knit the rest (34)
Purl all the stitches
Cast off the first 4 and knit the rest (30)
Purl all the stitches

Now just stockinette stitch trough till you think the scarf is long enough them cast off all the stitches!

Close up the pointy hood and a bit where your neck will be.
And attach a bell/some buttons or anything else!

Pleaseplease don't sell this item! I was so kind to make this up for you for free so you and the rest of the world deserve this one for free! :D
The grumpy fairies will send you some bad energy haha! Or some good vibes and happy faces if you give them away!

Have fun!

If you have any questions feel free to leave a message and one of my guinea pigs will answer you as soon as possible!

  4. (ooohno! BUT THE PIXIE POINT!! :))
I haven't tried this yet but i think this will work
If you just make a really long scarf, place it over your head and sew/crochet the scarf on the back of your head together.
(the decrease and increase is for the pixie point and if you take that away it will just be a normal scoodie i guess :))

  5. Very pretty svoodie! I wish more people who have blogs would have a Pinterest link button! Then I could post the beautiful patterns & not have them burried in an e-book. Nothing wrong with e-books, they're awsome, it would just be nice to display pretty items seperately.Have a great day!
